Wisconsin does not have the death penalty.

Handed down on Wednesday, the sentence comes nearly a year after Brooks drove his car through the Waukesha Christmas parade on November 21, 2021. It guarantees that Brooks will die in prison.

Among the murdered victims was an eight-year-old boy named Jackson Sparks.

Some of the non-fatal victims of Brooks' vehicular rampage included members of the local Catholic community, including a priest. Family members of the victims delivered comments in support of maximum punishment for Brooks.
