A Record 200,000 Attend Gospel Meetings Led by Marilyn Hickey in Pakistan—Many were Healed"I cannot thank God enough for all that He's done here. Everything that we believed for, He made happen—beyond what we could have hoped or imagined." -Marilyn Hickey (Karachi, Pakistan)—Despite an assessment by Time Magazine that painted Karachi, Pakistan as the "most dangerous city in the world," Evangelist Marilyn Hickey and her team pressed on to bring the freeing and healing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to hundreds of thousands there. At an age when many would be at least staying much closer to home, the 80-year-old Hickey fearlessly preached God's love and healing to thousands who flocked to hear the Word of the Lord in the largest Muslim city. This latest trip—Hickey's 6th to Pakistan—was her most successful so far; perhaps a culmination of 16 years of developing friendships, and nurturing relationships with the Muslim people as well as Hindu and Christians there.
The attendance had risen to 200,000, and healings were beginning to take place. They reportedly included "a Muslim man who was paralyzed [who] can now walk, and a little boy blind from birth [who] can now see..." Hickey remarked on the huge outpouring. "I cannot thank God enough for all that He's done here," Hickey said. "Everything that we believed for, He made happen—beyond what we could have hoped or imagined." She also was invited by Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan, into his home to pray for his family, which Hickey did, as well as pray together with him for the country and people of Pakistan.
