Billy Graham Turns 91; Offers Burial Plots near His to Barrows and Shea

(Charlotte, N.C.)—Last weekend, evangelist Billy Graham celebrated his 91st birthday and as reported in The Charlotte Observer, Graham's co-laborers, 100-year-old George Beverly Shea and 86-year-old Cliff Barrows, have accepted an invitation from Graham to be buried near him, on the grounds of the Billy Graham Library, when they die. "Mr. Graham wanted the whole team to be together," said Billy Graham Evangelistic Association spokeswoman Lauren Horton.

According to the report, last year, at a 99th birthday party for Shea, Barrows and Shea joked about spending eternity with Graham. Looking at Shea, Barrows was quoted as saying he used to tell Graham that "when we get to Heaven, you'll be out of a job, but (Shea the singer) won't."
Graham reportedly replied, "Well, when I get to Heaven, I'll sing like Bev Shea," to which Barrows rejoined, 'It'll take Heaven to do that.'"
