Heart Attack Victim who Flat Lined, Met Jesus, and Came Back to Tell about it"…As I started to go towards the light, I could see the out; the outer edge of it begins to spiral. And I couldn't figure out what that was. But as I got closer, I could see it was the words of prayers revolving. The words broke off, going into the light. And I followed into the light." Some of us have heard of those who've been declared medically dead, only to come back to life minutes later, and of the experiences they've had during the time they were not technically "alive." Jim Anderson is one of those, with a very vivid account of his life-after-death experience, and how it has changed his life and that of his family.
During efforts to revive him, Jim found himself praying as he realized he was dying. He describes what happened next: "As I prayed it got darker 'til the point it went black," Jim told CBN. "The next thing I knew, off in the distance, I saw a white light. It was beautiful. It just wasn't blinding, but pure and perfect. As I started to go towards the light, I could see the out; the outer edge of it begins to spiral. And I couldn't figure out what that was. But as I got closer, I could see it was the words of prayers revolving. The words broke off, going into the light. And I followed into the light. "The next thing I felt was being embraced...safe and secure. It felt wonderful. It felt like total love. Next thing I knew, I was looking down at the room where my body was. I could see everyone working on me. I could hear what they were saying. There were two nurses outside of the room looking in. One said to the other, 'Why are they working so hard? He's gone. If they do bring him back, he'll be a vegetable.' I later on told her what she said. She about passed out." In the report, Jim tells of how when he saw his wife's face as she prayed for him, he began to ask the Lord to let him go back. That was when the doctors, who had shocked him so much the skin on his chest had burned, suddenly found a heartbeat. Today, Jim has a pacemaker and no longer needs a heart transplant. He says the experience brought his family closer together, and that they no longer focus on trivial things. "I try to witness to at least one person a day," adds Jim, "to let them know this isn't about me...it's about their life! And to know that He is there for them, and He loves them."
