According to a report by Mission Network News, a new AIDS/HIV prevention program, based on the New Testament, seems to be having good results.

The 40-week faith-based program, Reach4Life, is currently being used in five different African countries. Reach4Life worker, Megan Nygyforchyn-Clark, says, "It introduces youth to the personal Jesus and His mission, and talks about issues that youth are dealing with."

Response to the program has reportedly been overwhelming, and Nygyforchyn-Clark claims that Christians are seeing the difference. "Often the Church and other religious communities are afraid to talk about HIV and AIDS, particularly in this context," she explained. "This program is something that makes sense to religious leaders, because they see that youth are being discipled, and they see that the Bible is in the program, and so there's been openness to that."
