(Buffalo, NY)—Dr. Negiel Bigpond, who oversees 636 First Nations Tribes in Canada and the United States, officially endorses the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, founded by Dr. Jack Hayford and Dr. Robert Stearns of Eagles' Wings.

Dr. Bigpond remarked: "Israel and Native Americans are both tribal people who understand and know how to keep covenant. To us, the international Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem is an opportunity to honor God as we pray for and honor His chosen people."

Dr. Bigpond has ministered for more than thirty years, evangelizing in over 143 native reservations and currently serving as Apostle of Morning Star Church of All Nations.

First Nations people generally sense a deep kinship with Israel. A portion of the resolution called "A Declaration by the First Nations of America" states:

As with Israel, the First Nations are called to be a blessing.
As with Israel, the First Nations have been persecuted.
As with Israel, the First Nations are called to be strong in the face of adversity.
As with Israel, the First Nations were once exiled and now returned home.

Dr. Bigpond not only joins 1300 other Christian Endorsers who represent all different cultures, and denominations—like Paul Cedar, Ron Luce, Kay Arthur, Jane Hansen, T. D. Jakes, & Ravi Zacharias—but he joins with another endorsing First Nations leader, Dr. Richard Twiss—Founder & Director of Wiconi International. Their united call is for all Believers to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 122:6, to pray for God's peace, blessing, and love to Jews, Arabs, and Christians alike in God-s Holy City—Jerusalem.

The annual Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem—the first Sunday of every October—is one of the largest Israel-focused prayer events in history, with churches participating last year from over 175 nations, including those "underground" in seven Muslim nations.
