Good News: Even Blue States Pass Midterm's Biological-Reality Ballot Measures

In the Blue state of Washington, for example, Initiative 638 prohibiting biological males from competing in girls' sports will be approved by a wide margin, capturing nearly 60% of the vote. It requires students wishing to compete with girls to provide a health care provider's statement verifying the student's sex.

Likewise, in solidly Blue Colorado, Proposition 134, a measure requiring student athletes to participate only on those teams designated for their biological sex is on course to pass with about 52% of the vote. Additionally, it requires schools, colleges and athletic associations to designate whether sports teams are male, female or coeducational.

Notably, Colorado's voters are also on pace to pass Proposition 135, which would ban sex change procedures for minors. Here, approximately 52% of the state's voters backed the measure prohibiting health care professionals from providing sex changes to those under 18 years of age.

Similar measures banning males from female sports in Nebraska (Initiative 442) and Arizona (Proposition 318) enjoy wide margins of voter support. In both cases, the measures strengthen already-existing protections for female sports.

About two-thirds of Nebraska voters are choosing to adopt Initiative 442, which amends the state's Constitution to prohibit males from playing on female teams and require schools to designate sports teams as either male, female or coeducational.

The proposition also defines "sex" as the "biological status as male or female as recorded at birth on the individual's original birth certificate."

By enshrining the requirements in the Nebraska Constitution, the measure provides additional security for the protections provided.

Arizona's Proposition 318 not only requires sports teams be biologically-identified and limited to members of the same biological sex, but it also prohibits the use of restrooms, locker rooms and shower rooms that do not align with a person's biological sex.

Even with the additional restrictions, the Arizona measure received nearly 60% of the vote. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
