Update on the Exposed Leftist Coup Plans: The Words Came Right on Schedule

IFA Staff : Oct 27, 2026  Intercessors For America

These leaders all oppose President Trump. That's expected. What matters is the timing and the uniformity. A week before an election, from governors to Senate leadership to cable hosts to activist networks, the same words are landing in the same order: sabotage, rigged, unconstitutional, dictator, illegitimate regime. That isn't coincidence. It's conditioning. Each repetition moves the public one step closer to accepting the premise, so that when the red line is crossed, whatever it turns out to be, the verdict is already in. ... We can't let that happen. We have to stay informed, and we have to stay on our knees.

Exactly one week ago, IFA published "The Red Line," a special report detailing the plan to declare President Trump's administration illegitimate. We said the plan would need a vocabulary. We said you would start hearing certain words, repeated by certain people, until the American public accepted them as fact.

Not even a week later, the words are here.

First, a quick refresher

As the Special Report explains, the "red line" is a trap. It's a move the President will be baited into taking that empowers his enemies to call him illegitimate. The plan is simple: manufacture chaos, provoke a federal response, then brand that response as unconstitutional. The Insurrection Act is the most obvious tripwire, but it's only one of several. Whether Democrats or Republicans win on November 3, the trap can be sprung either way.

But a trap like that only works if the public has been prepped to believe it. That's where the vocabulary comes in. Two words are doing the heavy lifting right now: illegitimate and sabotage.

"Election sabotage"

Watch how fast this one spread. Ezra Levin of Indivisible told PBS that his group has never prepared for an "election sabotage event" the way it is preparing now. Hundreds of lawyers are working with Democrats "to prevent election sabotage." Activist networks are now hosting "Election Sabotage Response Trainings" for volunteers.

Notice what the phrase does. It doesn't say fraud or irregularity. It says sabotage, deliberate destruction by an enemy. Once you've accepted that the President is sabotaging the election, anything that follows from the election becomes suspect. That's the point.

"Illegitimate"

This is the word the whole plan depends on, and it's being seeded carefully. Governor Gavin Newsom called the President the "gravest threat to American democracy" and said that if you beat him, he calls you illegitimate. That's a clever move: introduce the word by accusing the other side of using it first. Meanwhile, Elie Mystal, The Nation's justice correspondent, wrote on October 23 asking what Democrats will do when Trump "steals" the midterms. His answer reaches for history: cases where an "illegitimate regime" stole an election and was later overthrown by the people. He even sketches the scene: crowds vowing to stop "illegitimate congresspeople" from taking their seats and refusing to go home until new elections are called. That isn't a warning. It's a script, published ten days before the election.

The cable hosts are carrying the same water. On MS NOW this past Friday, Jen Psaki framed the Justice Department's Alaska lawsuit as the President's "most overt effort to rig the outcome of the midterm elections," then brought on Democratic election lawyer Marc Elias to explain what Trump is "really up to." The word rigged is the on-ramp. Once an election is rigged, whoever it produces is illegitimate, and the audience is being walked up that ramp one segment at a time.

And it isn't just commentators. The Washington Post reports that around ten current and former national security officials are quietly advising states on how to prepare for federal election interference, including troops at polling sites and arrests of election officials. Those are the scenarios from The Red Line, being planned for in advance.

The weekend media circuit

Some Democrats took to the Sunday shows this past weekend to push the script. Watch for the approved talking points that keep popping up.

Governor Wes Moore. Speaking to MS NOW, Moore called the President's election-related actions "unconstitutional," saying any federal interference in state elections "not only is (it) unwise, it is unconstitutional." What exactly is the President doing? Ensuring people aren't voting illegally? Apparently, that's all it takes. More revealing was his admission that he and his allies "have now spent months red teaming and planning for any possible scenario." Planning what, exactly? Does it look like what we unveiled in The Red Line?

Senator Adam Schiff. The man who led the first impeachment appears open to another. On NBC, asked whether the President had committed impeachable offenses, Schiff said the Democrats' investigations would "lead wherever it leads," and he refused to take impeachment off the table. He also attacked the Justice Department's Alaska lawsuit, insisting it's not the federal government's business to run Alaskan elections. He accused the DOJ and Attorney General Todd Blanche of working to "subvert the elections." That's not a charitable reading, but what else should we expect from people looking for a reason to declare a presidency illegitimate?

Senator Elissa Slotkin. Fresh off threatening college graduates who want to work for the federal government, Slotkin told CNN the President has spent "18 months" trying to "change the outcome of the election," comparing him to foreign dictators using "a handbook I've seen so many times overseas." The dictator comparison isn't new. But its purpose is: paint the President as a tyrant and you've built the case for his abrupt removal.

Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. On Face the Nation, Jeffries defended his repeated claim that Trump is working to "rig the midterm elections," even as the host pressed him on his past insistence that Democrats have "no election deniers." And after Democrats filed suit against the administration last week, Senator Schumer declared that Trump "can't win a fair fight" and is "bullying election officials."

Connecting the dots

These leaders all oppose President Trump. That's expected. What matters is the timing and the uniformity. A week before an election, from governors to Senate leadership to cable hosts to activist networks, the same words are landing in the same order: sabotage, rigged, unconstitutional, dictator, illegitimate regime.

That isn't coincidence. It's conditioning. Each repetition moves the public one step closer to accepting the premise, so that when the red line is crossed, whatever it turns out to be, the verdict is already in. Once enough Americans, including sensible moderates, have absorbed the vocabulary, the far left can move against duly elected leaders and call it saving democracy.

We can't let that happen. We have to stay informed, and we have to stay on our knees.

The Enemy of our souls has woven a web too complex to be untangled by human means. But we have a power greater than any human means on our side. God's Word says, No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

So let's pray exactly that. Pray for every lie about the administration and the President to fall flat. Pray for every attack on his lawful authority to fail. Pray that the plans of the Enemy are exposed, and that the people pushing this vocabulary find their words returning to them empty.

And keep watching. The next word on the list is coming. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
