While the family shared this update, they warned that Saylor faces a long journey of recovery.

"Saylor was in critical condition at first," a statement from the family read, "but she's now stable and has been moved out of the ICU. She has a long recovery ahead, and right now all we want is to be with her through it.

"Even as we're grateful for Saylor's progress, our hearts are broken for the families of the three children and the teacher who were killed. We are holding them close, and we grieve with them.

"Thank you to everyone who has reached out, prayed for Saylor, sent messages, and shown our family so much love during the hardest time of our lives..."

A GoFundMe link for the medical costs of the little girl's recovery was included in the statement.

"Many of you have asked how you can help. Along with everything else, our family is facing the costs of Saylor's recovery and the time we need to spend with her. We've included a GoFundMe link below for anyone who would like to give. Any donation, share, or continued support is deeply appreciated.

"Above all, please keep Saylor in your thoughts and prayers as she heals. We are beyond grateful that she is still here with us..." Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
