The City Council voted to declare Huntington Beach a "Non-Sanctuary City." City Council member Butch Twining said, "Public safety is proactive. Imagine what would [we] be ... talking about here tonight if, say, Laken Riley or Jocelyn (sic) Nungaray or Rachel Morin was a resident of Huntington Beach, and she got and each one of them got raped and killed by illegal aliens." "There would be a whole different argument going on in here like ‘why weren't we proactive?' And one other thing we all up here said, you know, when we take our oath of office, we raise our hand and we swear to defend and uphold the Constitution of the United States."... ...
