As well as it being an honor to meet and speak with this godly man up close, it was a rather eye-opening experience as not all of us reporters were coming from the same "camp," so to speak.

I asked Rev. Graham for his thoughts regarding the news of Donald Trump accepting the Lord, to which he replied that "only God knows everybody's heart. I met Donald Trump last week. I was with him and some other people. I'm not endorsing Donald Trump, I'm not endorsing Hillary Clinton, or any candidates at any level. I'm wanting Christians to vote though, but I'm not going to tell people who to vote for."

Graham added, "Donald Trump is shaking up the political process of this country. He has shaken up the Republican party and I can tell you right now, both the Democrat and the Republican parties need shaking up big time."

And then we all got a taste of how the mainstream media often comes against those with Biblical values, when a reporter from the local Salem newspaper, posed this question to Rev. Graham:

"...Planned Parenthood in ...Oregon was protesting the presence and the event today and saying that given your comments to Orlando, they felt that it was worthwhile to protest."

"My comments about Orlando?" replied Graham, who seemed to have no idea to what she was referring.

(Perhaps she was confusing Franklin Graham with the California pastor who made those sickening comments which truly were hateful)

And then Franklin spoke with great passion in his voice...

"First of all, I had people pray for the victims of Orlando. Do you know how many people are still left in the hospital?"

"At this point?" the reporter was flustered and replied, "I'd have to double check at this point."

"Okay. Do you know how many are in critical condition?" Franklin asked her.

She countered, "Do you?"

Franklin was unfazed and replied, "Yes. I do. And do you know why I know? Because the doctor that's taking care of them is a Christian gentleman who's been on my board of directors for many years and he is the lead surgeon...

"We pray for those victims in Orlando every day! So if people want to protest me for praying for the gays or lesbians that were murdered for no reason other than they were out just to have fun at a nightclub... and for a Muslim to come in and to kill them in the name of Islam and in the name of ISIS, and our government tried to wash that and tried to hide that under the table, [it] is incomprehensible! I can't believe that.

"So our nation is in trouble. That's why I'm taking this tour. We are in trouble and we're lying to ourselves. We're trying to fool ourselves. We're going to have more terrorist attacks like this and they may be attacking gays today; they may be coming after politicians tomorrow, and next week they may be coming after our churches. I don't know, but all of us—whether gay, straight, whether we're Republicans or Democrats—we better wake up to the threats that are out here that want to destroy our freedom and that want to take our country!" My co-worker, Managing Editor for the Elijah List, Julie Smith asked Rev. Graham, "You said this was your 30th state. What so far, traveling 30 states, has impacted you the most that you want to share with the Body of Christ?

Franklin answered, "It's the fact that the Christians are coming out in the middle of the work day to pray, and that has had a huge impact. I never dreamed that that many people would come on a work day to pray."

"Anything you want to say to our Breaking Christian News readers?" Julie asked him.

"Vote." He replied. "Get everyone to vote. Register everyone that's legal age. Register them and take them to the polls. ...I'm asking Christians across this country to vote and vote for candidates that stand for Biblical truth and Biblical principles."
