Digital Nightmare? Anthropic Withholds AI Model Too Dangerous for Humanity

Abby Trivett : Apr 17, 2026  Charisma News

And for those with eyes to see, it may be yet another signal that the world is moving rapidly toward a prophetic climax—one that calls not for panic, but for readiness, wisdom and unwavering faith.

[Charisma News] ...A new report from the Daily Mail discussed how Anthropic crafted an AI chatbot that has been deemed "too dangerous to release to the public." (Image: Pixabay)

According to the Mail, Anthropic said that what they have made can hack infrastructure units such as power plants, electrical grids and hospitals. Mythos, as it is called, was being tested, the organization discovered, "thousands of high-severity vulnerabilities, including some in every major system and web browser."

Anthropic further noted that the "AI models have reached a level of coding capability where they can surpass all but the most skilled humans at finding and exploiting software vulnerabilities...The fallout, for economies, public safety, and national security, could be severe."

Terrifying, right?

The scariest part, however, may not be that this was created, but rather that some of the world's largest companies will have access to it.

As The Daily Mail cites:

Instead, the model will be released to a group of more than 40 companies, including Amazon, Google, Apple, Nvidia, CrowdStrike, and JPMorgan Chase, as part of an initiative called 'Project Glasswing'.

Supposedly, this will give these companies the capability to use Mythos to find issues in their security systems before it becomes a more widespread, public model.

So, is this just another technological breakthrough—or a warning echoing through the pages of Scripture?

In an age where knowledge is increasing at an unprecedented rate, as foretold in the book of Daniel, humanity now stands at a crossroads. What was once confined to imagination is now reality—systems so powerful they can infiltrate infrastructure, expose vulnerabilities and potentially disrupt entire nations in moments.

And yet, the deeper question isn't just what this technology can do—but who will ultimately control it.

The Bible warns of a time when deception, power and control will converge in ways the world has never seen. Could tools like this become part of that system—mechanisms that enable unprecedented surveillance, manipulation or even coercion on a global scale? While innovation itself is not evil, the hearts behind it—and the systems it empowers—matter more than ever.

Jesus warned in Luke 21 that there would be signs that shake nations and stir fear across the earth. But He also told believers not to be overcome by fear, but to remain watchful and discerning.

As artificial intelligence continues to advance beyond human limits, this moment serves as a sobering reminder: the line between progress and peril is thinner than we think.

This isn't just about technology. It's about the times we are living in.

And for those with eyes to see, it may be yet another signal that the world is moving rapidly toward a prophetic climax—one that calls not for panic, but for readiness, wisdom and unwavering faith. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
