Last week, a far-left Muslim activist in New York City named Nerdeen Kiswani angered Americans after targeting mankind's most loyal friend in a ... tweet.

"Finally, NYC is coming to Islam," Kiswani wrote. "Dogs definitely have a place in society, just not as indoor pets."

"Like we've said all along, they are unclean."

For context, many Muslims consider dogs "impure" and Islamic legal tradition has, in various cases, pushed for barring human contact with the animals.

Kiswani later tried to claim that she was just joking, but the damage was already done.
