Newton-John, 73, died Monday morning after a years-long battle with metastatic breast cancer.

In February of last year, the British-Australian entertainer appeared on the "A Life of Greatness" podcast, where she opened up a bit about her faith background and shared her "favorite prayer."

Newton-John told podcast host Sarah Grynberg she grew up Presbyterian, frequently attended church, and was taught the Lord's Prayer as a child.

While the "Xanadu" star's exact beliefs were not clear, she recalled a moment during her pregnancy in the 1980s with her now-36-year-old daughter Chloe Lattanzi, according to Metro.

"I remember when I was pregnant with Chloe, and I was close to losing her," Newton-John said. "I went to bed and asked God to save her and, if He did, I would say the Lord's Prayer every night for the rest of my life, and so I have."

She went on to tell Grynberg she believed prayer was "very powerful"... Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
