The two biggest players in this seem to be Twitter and Facebook. This week both of them locked President Trump out of his accounts, even as he tried to send a message of peace urging protesters to "go home" as he condemned the violence at the Capitol. I am personally tired of these unlawful actions by social media and big tech, and I am joining the mass exodus from both Twitter and Facebook. There ARE alternatives that champion free speech! An alternative with a similar format to Twitter is Parler. Find out more HERE. And an alternative with a format much like that of Facebook is XAPiT. Find out more about XAPiT HERE. If, like me, you don't wish to lose all the many posts and photos you've archived on your Facebook page in leaving, you can download all that information to your computer. Below are the steps to follow to do that. Once on your Facebook page, click on down arrow in upper right Facebook will let you know when the file is created, you can then download it to your computer, and then DELETE your profile.
