(Nashville, TN)— [FaithFamilyAmerica.com] It is a sad day for the world of country music. A Country Music Hall of Famer has died in Ocala, Florida. Reports are now revealing that Mel Tillis passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning. According to reports, doctors believe Tillis passed away due to respiratory failure. Fans remember Tillis for being a singer, songwriter, comedian, and businessman. Besides being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, Tillis was also in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
