(Washington, DC)—[Faith Family America] U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions may be looking for a new job soon—based on President Trump's displeasure with him right now—but it's not keeping him from using his position as head of the Justice Department to battle illegal immigration. On Tuesday he announced a new policy intended to make it harder for sanctuary cities—localities that protect illegal immigrants—to resist enforcement of immigration laws. Politico is reporting that Sessions new policy hits to the heart of the federal funding sanctuary cities receive by requiring them to allow immigration enforcement officers into jails and prisons and to give the federal government two days' notice before an illegal immigrant wanted by the feds is going to be released...
