Fearless. Like Kim Clement. No wonder he called her his "Number One Intercessor."

Last night, after a lengthy illness, Gloria passed away. She so loved her son-in-law, Kim, that I can't help but see a connection between [these, and] the recent deaths of Carrie Fisher and her mother Debbie Reynolds.

Many who knew Gloria have been posting their condolences to the Clement and Barnes families.

Family friend and evangelist Dena McClure wrote on Facebook:

Sending my love and prayers to Jane, John, Cindy, Donne and all the family as they grieve the loss of their mother and grandmother Gloria. I had the privilege of knowing Gloria since 1982. Gloria held the title of a "Great Lady" in my life. About 15 years ago at Jane's request, I had the joy of filming many hours of interviews with Gloria to document her legacy and the rich heritage she carried as someone who was an intercessor and eyewitness of the spiritual history and move of God in South Africa. I will forever cherish that time we spent together as she told her stories and took me on the journey of her life, from birth and throughout all the significant events of her life. I sat there spellbound as she walked me through her journey and front row account as an intercessor of the birthing of her sister and brother-in-law, Fred & Nellie Roberts' ministry who became one of the great pioneers of the move of God in South Africa ... She candidly shared about a young man by the name of Kim Clement who showed up at her door one day asking to date her daughter; and proceeded to tell me stories I had never heard before. Gloria was Kim's number one intercessor and joined to him as a mother to a son. She loved him and he loved her. I looked forward to my lively discussions with Gloria whenever I got to be with her. You could be sure you would cover everything from politics which she LOVED to talk about, to what God was doing throughout the world, but most importantly what He was saying to her. There are so many things I will miss about Gloria but I will especially miss her sense of humor... she always made me laugh. She was the matriarch who brought strength to not only her family but to all who met her. You left your mark in all of us through your life ... you left your mark in the world through your prayers... your legacy will live on. I can't wait, Gloria, till the next time we get to sit and have one of our conversations in Glory. Until then, say hello to my Mom and Kim for me.

And Kim's surviving brother, David Clement from South Africa, wrote on his page:

To dear Jane, Johnny, Margaret Cindy, Donne and all the family and grandchildren.

So sorry to hear about Gloria's passing, the past 18 months have been so hard for you all.

I have known Gloria since Kim and Jane were married and spent many December holidays at her house with her and the family in Durban. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to chat and spend time with her on my last trip to California.

I know she is in a place of no pain [or] suffering and maybe even having her first cup of tea with Kim.
