Deal announced on Monday that he would veto the bill.
 
"I have examined the protections that this bill proposes to provide to the faith-based community and I can find no examples of any of those circumstances occurring in our state," explained the governor, adding, "I do not think that we have to discriminate against anyone to protect the faith-based community in Georgia."
 
According to the AP report, many actors, directors and studio companies had made boycott threats against the state, if Gov. Deal had signed the bill.  
 
Key locations in Georgia are known as the "Hollywood of the South," according to the report.
