Gomez's surprise appearance occurred on Feb. 25 during the album release of the Hillsong Church band held at LA'S Belasco Theater, Billboard reported. Prior to the concert, it was not revealed that the 23-year-old artist was performing at the event which is why her guest appearance took members of the audience by surprise.

Before performing, Gomez addressed the crowd to say that attending the great was a special opportunity for her.

"Tonight is more than a concert, it's more than Hillsong, it's more than me coming on stage and singing a song for you," she said during the event according to News Busters. "It's about a relationship that is greater than anything, guaranteed."
