The Florida lawmaker was speaking before a crowd of about 400 people at Clemson University Fridaynight when someone shouted that a doctor was needed.

"We have a medical situation. Is there anybody who is a doctor or medical professional?" Rubio asked. "Why don't we just bow our heads for a moment in prayer."

"We pray that You put Your hand upon Him, Lord," Rubio prayed. "God, all things are possible for you. Lord, You can do anything."

After the prayer, Rubio asked the attendants to remain seated while medical teams arrived.

The man regained consciousness and according to Greenville Online, was seen smiling by the time EMS arrived.

Ironically, Rubio's speech centered on the right to pray, using Clemson's head football Coach Dabo Swinney as an example. The Freedom from Religion Foundation has objected to Swinney praying at team events.
