Please continue to pray for this situation.

Speculations lean toward the Russian separatists in the area, especially after they initially seemed to take credit for the attack. However, later separatists were blaming the Ukrainian government.

What IS clear is that an almost full Boeing 777 jet—Malaysia Airlines MH17—crashed in Eastern Ukraine on Thursday, killing all 283 passengers (among them, 3 babies) and 15 crew members on board.

The debris field reportedly spans some 9 miles.

Investigations have been launched by the Malaysian government.

A statement was released by the Ukrainian government, which is calling the attack an act of terror: "The President of Ukraine on behalf of the State expresses its deepest and most sincere condolences to the families and relatives of those killed in this terrible tragedy. Every possible search and rescue effort is being made."
