One MSN report reads, "A secret Santa is crisscrossing the United States, bearing a credit card and an extraordinary spirit of generosity, leaving enormous tips to waiters and waitresses before ducking out of restaurants from California to Chicago."

The Huffington Post headline read: "'Tips for Jesus' Shows Outrageous Christian Generosity."

So how does this mystery tipper—or tippers—operate? When given the bill, they write in the tip amount with the notation @tipsforjesus and snap a photo of it before giving it to their server.
