National Day of Prayer for Our Elected Officials in Washington, DC Oct. 28, 2011The objective of the prayer is that God will prick the hearts of our elected officials to stop party bickering, personal agendas and ideologies, put aside individual differences, and work together for the good of the nation. (St. Louis, MO)—There will be a National Day of Prayer for our elected officials in Washington DC on Friday Oct. 28, 2011 at 5:00 pm, doors will open at 4:00 pm, taking place at Hylton Memorial Chapel, Woodbridge, VA a suburb of Washington DC. A dinner banquet will follow after the prayer meeting. To register, please call Lara Publications at 800-599-7313, and secure a seat, or register online at www.closerwalk.net Over 5,000 churches in the Washington DC area and 1000 churches from the St. Louis, MO area have been invited including the entire Congress and President Obama.
We're a nation in crisis! A church so divided! A people so disenchanted! This prayer meeting is being organized by the St. Louis County, MO chapter of CRYOUT America – Awakening; an organization dedicated to fasting and praying for America for spiritual revival. Billy Wilson is the CEO of the national organization. The objective of the prayer is that God will prick the hearts of our elected officials to stop party bickering, personal agendas and ideologies, put aside individual differences, and work together for the good of the nation. I strongly apologize to those who were upset because the prayer meeting was initially intended for the White House and it was moved to Hylton Memorial Chapel, Woodbridge, VA because of the scheduling conflicts incurred according to the White House scheduling office. I strongly believe if Jonah can pray in the belly of a fish, and God heard and answered that prayer, God can hear our prayers from anywhere. What is more important is the urgency of a call to prayer for the nation. The continuous Wall Street demonstration spreading across the nation and the world is a reminder of the urgency of a call to prayer. May God's light shine on us from above.
