Harvest Christian Fellowship to Host Free Concert, Message of Encouragement
Called "An Evening of Hope," Chapman will perform songs from his new CD, Beauty Will Rise, and Laurie will share thoughts about suffering, hope, and heaven. Both Chapman and Laurie lost children in automobile accidents in 2008, and share a common desire to offer hope and encouragement to people who are suffering loss. "The holidays are difficult for many, and as we are entering that time of year, Steven and I will talk together about the hope we have found in our relationship with Jesus Christ, in spite of the unspeakable tragedies we have both faced," said Laurie. "An Evening of Hope" is a free event open to the public and will be held in the main sanctuary at Harvest Christian Fellowship, at 6115 Arlington Avenue in Riverside (phone, 951- 687-6902). Admission is on a first-come, first-seated basis. The concert may also be viewed live online at www.harvest.org. Located in Riverside, Calif., Harvest Christian Fellowship was founded more than 30 years ago by Pastor Greg Laurie. With a weekly attendance of more than 12,000 people, Harvest Christian Fellowship is one of the largest churches in the United States.
