"My friends this is the worst situation I have ever seen in Haiti. Three major cities devastated with the government dysfunctional. We need help!"

Between Hurricane Gustav and Tropical Storm Hanna; Haiti has been extremely hard hit.

Describing the situation there, Snow said, "There has been NO ASSISTANCE as of now to anyone in the city. The banks are all closed, food is short, but no cash to buy. Maula [another YWAM director] says that many people have wounds that are becoming very infected and they need medicine and bandages badly. We want to get a small amount of supplies to them the minute we know there is an opening.

"Maula reports that Hanna was worst this time, higher waters and stronger current. Many houses are broken to the foundations. This morning the water is down in the city and people are retreating to the mountains to escape the smell and disease. The situation is bad!"

A BBC News report stated that severe flooding from the storms is widespread throughout Haiti, and more than 200 people have died.

To make matters worse, another storm, Hurricane Ike—which is reported to be stronger than Hanna was—is bearing down on the already devastated country.

YWAM Director Snow is calling for much prayer and assistance. "My friends, this is the worst situation I have ever seen in Haiti," he said. "Three major cities devastated with the government dysfunctional. We need help!"
