I proceeded to confirm this by contacting the man himself, Steve Tillman. Before I knew it we were texting back and forth regarding this story. Consequently, I can confirm that a former head of an atheist group has come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord! This is a huge encouragement!

As I exchanged conversation with Steve, there were a few comments that stood out to me. Here is a brief transcript of our conversation:

Me: Thankful to hear you came to know Jesus as your Savior! It's not every day I hear a story like this. Thanks for being gracious about this.

Steve: It's not a problem, I'm a little worried people will look at me like I'm crazy because of how this came about.

Me: Not crazy at all. It's God. Which is hard to wrap our finite human minds around.

Steve: Agreed, and the strangest part is this calling I feel to spread the Word of God... like the pulpit has a huge magnet pulling me in.
