On April 15, Steve Green, the president of Hobby Lobby, will officially receive the John M. Templeton Biblical Values Award from the National Bible Association (NBA) in recognition of his work as a business leader who "exemplifies Biblical values in the workplace."

According to a Christian Today report, Hobby Lobby has traditionally remained closed on Sundays, despite social and economic pressure to the contrary and continues to pay its employees above 80 per cent of the minimum wage. "Biblical values are at the core of Hobby Lobby's business," said NBA president, Richard Glickstein, "from closing stores on Sundays to defending religious liberty. The bar has been set high for Biblical values in the work place."

"Steve is an outstanding example for business leaders across the country," he added, "and we are grateful for his exemplary spiritual values and his continued commitment to the Bible."
