"I am humbled to join the ranks of other leaders who are committed to the Bible to guide their spiritual and religious beliefs as well as their business." -Steve Green, President of Hobby Lobby

On April 15, Steve Green, the president of Hobby Lobby, will officially receive the John M. Templeton Biblical Values Award from the National Bible Association (NBA) in recognition of his work as a business leader who "exemplifies Biblical values in the workplace."

Steve Green of Hobby Lobby According to a Christian Today report, Hobby Lobby has traditionally remained closed on Sundays, despite social and economic pressure to the contrary and continues to pay its employees above 80 per cent of the minimum wage. Not only that, but the company currently refuses to comply with government mandate to provide healthcare to its employees that cover abortifacients. (Photo: Courtesy of The Green Collection)

"Biblical values are at the core of Hobby Lobby's business," said NBA president, Richard Glickstein, "from closing stores on Sundays to defending religious liberty. The bar has been set high for Biblical values in the work place."

"Steve is an outstanding example for business leaders across the country," he added, "and we are grateful for his exemplary spiritual values and his continued commitment to the Bible."
