Pastor Saeed Abedini Imprisoned for His Faith—Nearly 150,000 Have Signed Online Petition to Free Him

Aimee Herd : Feb 8, 2013  Jay Sekulow – ACLJ.org

"Sign the petition; share his story; make your voice heard loud and clear. And please, don't forget to pray for Pastor Saeed, his family in Iran, and his wife and children here in the United States." -ACLJ

Pastor Saeed and family(Iran)—The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), urges Believers everywhere to pray for the Christian pastor jailed in one of Iran's darkest prisons for his faith.

As reported on the ACLJ website, Pastor Saeed's family was finally allowed to visit him briefly on Monday, after any communication between him and his wife and children had been cut off.

According to the report, during their visit, Saeed had wondered if there were any efforts on the outside to free him—he had obviously received propaganda from the guards taunting him that he'd been forgotten.

Saeed's wife, Naghmeh later said, "When I heard this from my husband, I cried. It broke my heart. Behind those walls he feels helpless and relies on us to be his voice. It is so easy to feel forgotten in the walls of the prison. Please help me make sure he is never forgotten."

More than 250,000 people have signed the ACLJ petition asking for Pastor Saeed's release from Evin Prison in Iran. Saeed is a U.S. citizen.
