(Kona, Hawaii)?Ocean Wings Hawaii offers underwater photography and videography of Manta Rays, as well as other services. Recently several team members had been filming the graceful Rays off the Kona coast when a dolphin swam into the area and began to steal the show.

The dolphin had a fishing line tangled on one of his fins, which was not only restricting his movement, but most likely causing him pain. In a remarkable display of trust of a human, the dolphin approached several of the professional divers, seeming to "ask" them for help; patiently waiting while they attempted to free him from the line.

Martina S. Wing, one of the Ocean Wings team members, filmed the entire dolphin rescue.

"Last Friday night we rescued a Bottlenose Dolphin from entanglement during the Manta dive at Manta Heaven," explained Martina on the Ocean Wings website.

"It was awe-inspring and a truly breathtaking ;) experience. I filmed the event and want to thank the dive professionals Keller Laros, Masa and Jason Keeffer who helped with the rescue.

"It is also a testimony for the team work and cooperation of the different boat operators working together for the common goal of ocean conservation and taking care of the animals."


In the Garden of Eden, God gave Adam?and all mankind?the responsibility to care for and cultivate the Creation the Lord had made. Here is a beautiful picture of one of God's creatures trusting man and woman for their help, and subsequently their fulfillment of a God-given purpose.

According to the Ocean Wings website, the dive site "Manta Heaven" is located offshore of the Kona International Airport on the west coast of the Big Island of Hawaii.
