Imagine what wonderful outcomes could be had if the Body of Christ rises up in prayer, and in voting. Perhaps never in our country's history have the choices been so clear; between socialism/communism or the freedom America has cherished for 250 years. Remembering that no person running is perfect, the decision does seem to come down to darkness or light. My attention was immediately drawn to the upcoming elections, though I did not see the specific results. I interpreted the open doors from Oregon as a sign that a major shift is coming. This kind of change can only come by the hand of God, who works in and through the Church.

The statistical improbability of a 42-year reign of one-party governance in Oregon has become a visible reality. We have moved further from good governance and godly truths. Our schools, businesses, finances, and freedoms have taken a nosedive. Oregon, Washington, and California have solidified and fortified one another in this direction, but that wall is beginning to crack.

God has commissioned us to participate in every sphere of society. Statistically, far too many choose to forfeit their God-given right to vote. That mindset needs to be reformed. Politics is not a dirty word.

Those in politics are the ones given authority to make decisions and settle differences so that we can live together in peace. They create and enforce the laws and policies that shape the lives of families, schools, businesses, communities, and entire states. (Image: Garris and Jan Elkins)
