The memes featuring the pointing Cunningham exploded on social media.

But what may not be well known is Sophie's Christian faith walk.

According to reports, the women's basketball star, who was raised Catholic, was baptized earlier this year, notes Distractify:

"I got baptized when I was little, but I was feeling a tug on my heart to do it on my terms as an adult! Such a fun, amazing day. Thank You, Jesus. #christiantok," the caption reads.

Another report stated: 

Her baptism took place at Christ's Church of the Valley in Peoria, Arizona, where family and fellow Believers celebrated this important milestone.

Sophie has also turned heads recently after being asked by the press what her views are on biological men in women's sports.

Cunningham was asked about her stance in a pre-game press conference, where she shut down a reporter trying to stir the pot. She struck a sensible tone, adding that she's not political and everyone is deserving of love and respect, but there are the rights of biological women that must be protected. She's not compromising on that position.

"I said what I said," Cunningham told reporters. "I think it's common sense. I think it's really important to protect children and that's little girls ... I'm not a political person, but I do have beliefs. I do have morals, and I'll always stand on those and be true to who I am. ... When it comes to protecting girls in sport and women in sport, I feel very strongly about that. That's why you have Title 9. ... I don't dislike anyone, I think there's room for absolutely everyone here. ... but there are rights that need to be protected..."
