[Breaking Christian News] According to various sources, a federal court of appeals stepped in over the weekend, ordering the release of Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips of True the Vote, reversing a lower court's order. (Screengrab image)

The two were arrested last Monday by order of Judge Kenneth Hoyt, when they refused to reveal the names of participants who had seen a data file that exposed the alleged exploitation of election poll workers' information by Konnech CEO Eugene Yu.

Engelbrecht and Phillips refused to give up the names citing those people's personal safety, and Judge Hoyt had them arrested for contempt of court.

An update by The Conservative Treehouse read:

"By order of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips have been ordered RELEASED from custody, reversing the lower court decision which led to their detention and imprisonment for six days."

Below is a statement by True the Vote's Catherine Engelbrecht, posted on Truth Social:

Those who thought that imprisoning Gregg and I would weaken our resolve have gravely miscalculated. It is stronger than ever.

The right to free and fair elections without interference is more important than our own discomforts and even this detention, now reversed by a higher court.

We are profoundly grateful for that. We will continue to protect and defend those who do the vital work of election integrity, and we will make sure that their findings become a matter of public record.
