[RedState.com] House Democrats overwhelmingly rejected a proposed constitutional amendment Wednesday that would have permanently fixed the size of the US Supreme Court at nine justices, leaving the door open to future efforts to expand the Court. The measure failed 212-206, falling short of the two-thirds majority required for a constitutional amendment to pass the House. ... The Republican proposal didn't address the ideological composition of the existing Court.
