An Insider Describes the Harrowing Situation in Iran, as the People Continue Their Fight for FreedomProtestors have a real shot at defeating the dictatorial regime in Iran, but they cannot do it without help. Let's pray that God would protect those being targeted by the regime, and let's pray that demonstrators would look to Him for assistance!
As protests continue inside Iran, the protestors have found themselves in dire straits. Recently, an insider was able to get through the country-wide blackout, sharing an important message with the Daily Mail. From the Daily Wire: The insider was able to connect with Elina Shirazi, a senior political correspondent at the Daily Mail, over text during a gap in the countrywide internet blackout enforced by the Iranian government. During the brief exchange, the insider described troubling developments on the crackdown and protesters' hope for international assistance in their struggle against the regime. Since the regime crackdown on protesters began in earnest late last week, estimates of the death toll have ranged from hundreds to thousands. One text from the insider suggests that the real number is somewhere in the thousands. "At least 1k only in tehran [sic]," the insider said. "Dead." This conversation reportedly took place on day 15 of the protests. You can view the entire conversation in the embedded X post here. The insider called for intervention from the US, explaining that Iranian people want intervention and that it would "not [be] another act of imperialism!" Though the insider claimed that it feels like the protestors are winning against Iran, they stressed that they "cannot do it alone and without weapons against a regime that has shown no shame [in] mass killing its Iranian [civilians]." The insider also stated that protestors are waving the flag of the Pahlavi monarchy, the family that ruled Iran before its exile in 1979. Protestors have also reportedly been chanting "javid shah," meaning "long live the shah." Although the phrase was previously considered taboo, the exiled monarchy has become a symbol of resistance in recent weeks. Protestors have a real shot at defeating the dictatorial regime in Iran, but they cannot do it without help.
