Leftists Try to Shut Down Pro-Charlie Kirk Coffee Shop: 'But God is Good'"I was actually tearing [up] because I was like, 'Where did these people come from?' We went 312% up in sales..." -Owner Sara De Luca
Sara De Luca owns the Invita Café in Rancho Santa Fe. After Charlie was assassinated, she placed stickers on every coffee cup thanking Charlie for his life and legacy. She also announced that the coffee house would donate 100 percent of its profits for the day to TPUSA. She told Fox News Channel that she did the same thing when Israel was attacked by Hamas. "When Israel went to war, we put on Israel stickers and started to support some of the IDF [Israel Defense Forces]. I would say that was when I was like, 'Let's be courageous,'" De Luca said. "But with Charlie, we had hosted him. We had met him. We've met Erika," she added, referring to Kirk's wife. The young businesswoman said that never in a million years would she have thought honoring Charlie would cause a ruckus. But it did. "Maybe it's my ignorance," she said. "It didn't even cross my mind that somebody could have some sort of issue with somebody being murdered." The café was inundated with nasty threats and vile prank phone calls. They had to shut down their Google and Yelp pages because of the one-star reviews. But God is good—and it turns out Sara's church family interceded. The café was flooded with what she called righteous people who defended the business and Charlie. Sales are up more than 300 percent. "I was actually tearing [up] because I was like, 'Where did these people come from?' We went 312% up in sales," De Luca told Fox News. "We were flooded with righteous people just showing up, supporting us, defending us. They were defending Charlie. Obviously, we all were." What the devil meant for evil, [God] turned into good.
