Texas Hill Country Flood Memorial Coming to Kerrville"This garden art park is the best place for our community to have a memorial for the flood victims. Thousands of people are already coming to this beautiful spiritual garden from around the world. The view of Kerrville from the majestic, "Lion Of Judah", Ten Commandments bronze sculpture is the best of the City. We invite everyone to come to the top of God's holy mountain and be blessed!" -TCKF volunteer Vice President, Col. Bobby Woods
In a recent FOX NEWS interview, the founder of spiritual art park, Max Greiner, Jr. (73) told the reporter: "There is death, devastation and sadness down at the river. But on this hill, there is life, hope and peace... Many good organizations are giving out food, water and clothing to the victims. On this hill, we are giving out Living Water and the Bread of Life: Jesus Christ."
THE COMING KING FOUNDATION (TCKF), a non-profit 501c3 "Art Museum", displays 13 Christian monuments and 77 Scriptures in three languages, from the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. TCKF Trustees unanimously voted to add several beautiful, permanent memorials honoring the victims and heroes of the tragic flood which ravaged Kerr County. TCKF President, Fred Schremp stated: "For the last 20 years, God has used The Coming Sculpture Prayer Garden as a place of healing and restoration for visitors from around the world, people who need hope and healing for their mind, body and spirit. Since this terrible flood tragedy happened more people have been coming to The Empty Cross in search of peace. They find it here!" TCKF "HILL COUNTRY FLOOD MEMORIALS" Greiner, who is an architect, in addition to being an internationally collected professional artist, believes God gave him several ideas during prayer, for memorials at the sculpture garden. These will be permanent, high-quality reminders that will honor the flood victims, the brave first responders and the compassionate volunteers who rushed in to help.
As donated funds become available, TCKF will first build a beautiful, undulating wall made of large, native limestone blocks, to symbolize the raging, Guadalupe River. The stone wall will have a large historic bronze plaque in the center explaining the July 4th catastrophe. This plaque will be surrounded by smaller bronze plaques honoring the victims, heroes, volunteers and organizations who came to the aid of Kerrville.
The second flood memorial Greiner envisioned will be personally sculpted by him. It will be a life-size bronze statue of Jesus walking on (real) water holding the hands of two smiling children filled with joy. Greiner monumental sculptures are displayed across the USA and world. The artist's latest sculpture installation occurred two blocks from the nation's Capital, at DC360 Church. One of his acclaimed, Signed & Numbered, life-size "Divine Servant"® monuments was placed outside the historic, 100-year-old church.
A third memorial will be a graphic wall inside the entrance of the new TCKF Visitor Center. On the right, a historic photographic display with a Timeline will include the flood. On the left, a graphic history of the sculpture prayer garden will be presented. The architecturally unique Visitor Center has been on Greiner's drawing board since February of 2024. A 1974 architecture graduate of TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY, Greiner believes God gave him the creative building design, with a 77'7" roof peak, in answer to his prayer. The architect/artist/evangelist believes the imaginative building will attract tourists to Kerrville from around the world, like other famous architectural structures. After college, Greiner worked for the Architects Partnership in Dallas, which was founded by distinguished Architect, David George. George worked under the world-famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright.
Kerrville Architect Emeritus, Howell Ridout, is consulting on the Visitor Center project for Greiner. Working drawings are being produced by a young Christian architect, Kaleb Boyette, in Arlington, TX. The Greiners, married 50 years this year, are trusting God in faith that all the funds needed will be provided. The Visitor Center will be built at the entrance of the free, 24.5-acre art park, located at 520 Benson Dr, in Kerrville, visible from IH-10.
The new TCKF Visitor Center will have a small theater room for tourists, where a 20-minute documentary film about the history of the garden will be shown. Greiner has recently proposed that the TCKF film be followed with a 20-minute documentary history of Kerrville, which includes the 2025 flood. Greiner believes this film should be produced by the Kerrville Convention & Visitor Bureau or the Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce. MEMORIAL COMPLETION DATE Completion of the "HILL COUNTRY FLOOD MEMORIALS" will depend on how quickly funds are raised. TCKF is currently seeking partners who will help fund the ambitious projects. From its founding on March 6, 2004, TCKF Trustees have never borrowed money or gone into debt. Instead, the nonprofit art charity has trusted God for finances. Therefore, the planned memorials will be built in priority, as dedicated funds are received. COLUMBARIUM MEMORIAL GARDEN In April of 2024, Greiner conceived a creative Hill Country columbarium memorial garden, similar to the one at Mo Ranch, after receiving the recommendation from longtime TCKF supporter, County Surveyor, Lee Voelkel. TCKF is now building the "Dwelling Place of the Dove" Memorial Garden. This intimate area will be located 300' behind "The Empty Cross", in the "Outer Court" of the "Tabernacle" art park. TCKF is now reserving columbarium niches for families who will make a donation to the garden. Many garden visitors believe the Kerrville art park is one of the most holy places on earth. The Latin meaning of the word Columbarium is... "Dwelling Place of the Dove". TOP ATTRACTION The 24.5-acre spiritual art park is a top tourist attraction in the USA, drawing about 200,000 tourists a year, totaling over one million visitors since the seven-story cross was erected on July 27, 2010. The art park has been designated by TRIP ADVISOR as being in the top 10% of all tourist attractions worldwide. Guests have traveled from all 50 states and over a hundred countries to see the Kerrville attraction. Visits have ranged from one hour to over 42 days, in the case of one visitor, Bobby Dendy of Phoenix, AZ. The Christian worship evangelist spotted the enormous 77'7, open cross on the 1,930' hill while traveling east on IH-10. He believes God told him to stay in Kerrville to pray for the garden's completion. Most people come to the free art park to see over 2.5 million dollars' worth of monumental Christian sculptures created by three professional donor artists: David Broussard, Beverly Paddleford and Max Greiner, Jr. Tourists also come to see worldclass landscaping with native Texas plants, including the "Found Maples", which cover the garden. However, many guests come to the tranquil park to experience the power, peace and presence of God. Since 2002, this "type" of Last Days Tabernacle (Isaiah 2:2) has been featured in newspapers, magazines, books, social media, radio and internationally on TV because of the supernatural miracles, signs and wonders frequently witnessed by thousands of visitors. Currently, a movie producer is in production on film about the Greiners and the miraculous garden vision. TCKF volunteer Vice President, Col. Bobby Woods commented: "This garden art park is the best place for our community to have a memorial for the flood victims. Thousands of people are already coming to this beautiful spiritual garden from around the world. The view of Kerrville from the majestic, "Lion Of Judah", Ten Commandments bronze sculpture is the best of the City. We invite everyone to come to the top of God's holy mountain and be blessed!"
