The home of Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch posted a message on its social media pages— Muppets— arms locked—forming a rainbow flag.

"On our street everyone is welcome," Sesame Street wrote. "Together, let's build a world where every person and family feel loved and respected for who they are. Happy Pride Month!"

Now, back when we were growing up, Big Bird and his friends were all about teaching kids their ABC's. But this modern iteration is about teaching kids their LGBT's.

In 2021 they broadcast an episode that featured two gay fathers. The episode was titled "Family Day."

Sesame Street also released a song called, "Love Makes a Family"—celebrating different kinds of families.

And Jonathan Van Ness, the bearded man in a dress from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, was also featured as a guest. He hosted some sort of furry drag show.

This sort of debauchery target[ing] two-year-olds is why the Republican Congress must defund PBS and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. If Elmo wants to be tickled, let him do it on his dime, not mine.
