Teens Restore Pro-Trump Murals at Texas High School
[ToddStarnes.com] NEW: The pro-Trump artwork banned by a Texas high school has now been restored. Photographer Courtney Reed photographed the young patriots... (Screengrab image: via X) UPDATE: Keller High School reversed its decision to ban the pro-Trump artwork after thousands of our listeners and readers called and sent emails. "Let me be clear. There is nothing offensive or controversial about respectfully painting or honoring a current or former President for the United States of America. We will take action and make it clear that the students can honor President Trump as the 45th, and soon-to-be 47th President of the United States, as they wish," Dr. Charles Randklev, the school board president, said. "We worked with those students so that they could retain their prior artwork, and we are working to reevaluate our guidelines for future school years," a spokesperson told WFAA Wednesday. ORIGINAL STORY: At Keller High School in Texas seniors can fork over $200 for a reserved parking space. Students are then allowed to decorate that space. Click here to join my private Facebook group for America First patriots. At least two students decided to create murals honoring President Trump. One featured the president wearing patriotic sunglasses and a red, white and blue bandana. The other had the numbers 45 and 47. And now the school district is telling the kids to erase the paintings. The school district guidelines ban any artwork that is considered inappropriate. And school leaders say they have a right to paint over any content they consider to be controversial, offensive or obscene. So, what is inappropriate about a painting of President Trump? What's offensive about the numbers 45 and 47? The school district released a statement to television station WFAA: "We can confirm that there were a few spots that had to be repainted because they included content that had the potential to cause unnecessary distractions to the learning environment. Every year, a few students will attempt to include a political message, controversial statement, or inappropriate words or images in their parking spot painting. When that occurs, campus administrators allow them to repaint their space." -Keller ISD Seems to me the only obscenity is the behavior of grown adults who would stifle a young person's right to free speech and expression. The good news is that some elected district officials were horrified by the unconstitutional censorship. "Let me be clear. There is nothing offensive or controversial about respectfully painting or honoring a current or former President for the United States of America," district president Charles Randklev told CBS News. "We will take action and make it clear that the students can honor President Trump as the 45th, and soon-to-be 47th President of the United States, as they wish." And Keller City Councilman Greg Will said he hopes those responsible "for violating these students' first amendment rights will be appropriately held accountable." Sounds like the administration at Keller High School has a raging case of Trump Derangement Syndrome... Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here
