TST's display consisted of a large "baphomet" idol which was robed in red and black with a mirrored head.

The Christian veteran told sources he was enraged when he saw it and acted, pushing the statue over and then "dropping its head in the trash," according to The Post Millennial.

"The world may tell Christians to submissively accept the legitimization of satan," Cassidy said to The Sentinel, "but none of the founders would have considered government sanction of satanic altars inside Capitol buildings as protected by the First Amendment."

Reports note that the TST is pressing charges, and an "additional investigation" was opened in the case as well, prompting Cassidy to set up a GiveSendGo campaign for support.
