"God-Oriented Police Force"

The initiative started with four junior police officers in the Philippines who believed that only Christ could bring about the change in police force. So, they formed a small fellowship group and slowly began to incorporate Jesus into their meetings. Some officers established a movement called "Christian Officers ' Reform the Police Service (CORPS)" to bring the Good News to every police officer.

Today, the CORPS have formed projects, including "Bless Our Cops," that invites church leaders to pray for the police. They partner with local churches around the nation to cover a local police stations in prayer.

"Our battle cry is 'God in every Cop.' And our mission is to help build a God-centered, service-oriented and family-based Philippine National Police," said Capt. Cesar Binag, one of the founding police officers.

Moreover, BOC conducts annual conferences for police officers. This year, they had a theme of "Moving Towards A God-Oriented Police Force."

As the conference began, they acknowledged Almighty God by singing praises to Him. A band of policemen played and led the officers in worship to Jesus. They sang Blessed be Your Name" by Matt Redman, "In Jesus' Name" by Darlene Zschech, and "Blessed" by Hillsong.

They all clapped their hands and lifted their voices to the one true God. The dream is that they will unite for the mission Christ has set out for them.
