"In no way do I condone the destructive activity we saw in the Loop and lakefront this weekend. It is unacceptable and has no place in our city," Mayor-elect Brandon Johnson said in a statement. "However, it is not constructive to demonize youth who have otherwise been starved of opportunities in their own communities."

So, the progressive mayor-elect is more concerned that you might demonize the mob that assaulted that innocent young lady.

Violence is so bad in places like Philadelphia and Memphis that many businesses are shutting down and residents are moving out.

Four Walmart stores are closing in Chicago.

Walmart also announced they were pulling out of war-torn Portland, Oregon. Nike shut down one of its stores over high crime. And Cracker Barrel, the Southern-themed restaurant chain, said they had had enough.

And just the other day the woke outdoor company REI announced it was shutting down its flagship store in downtown Portland. 

In an emailed announcement they said that the store "had its highest number of break-ins and thefts in two decades, despite actions to provide extra security." 

"The extra security measures required to keep customers and employees safe are not financially sustainable," a company spokesperson told Oregon Live.

The one common denominator — the mobs are mostly made up of young and angry black teenagers.

A generation of children raised to believe they are the oppressed and big business is the oppressor. A generation raised to believe that the police are the enemy. A generation raised to judge white people by the color of their skin.

But it's also about the breakdown of the American family. Parents who are not raising their children with a firm, but loving hand. Parents who are allowing their kids to roam the streets well after dark. Parents who are not teaching their kids right from wrong.
