Lara Trump: Our Family Believes God Is in Control"Since the day my father-in-law decided to run for president, an interesting thing has happened to all of us. "There is no doubt that the only reason that my father-in-law has been able to withstand all the attacks against him, all the incoming, and still come out on top is because God is in control," Trump said on the "Todd Starnes Show." The former president's daughter-in-law added that Americans need to come together to pray for the country. "We have to pray for the future of this country. If we lose the United States of America, we are it. We are all that is left. We are the ultimate symbol to those around the world facing communist fear and tyranny and oppression. And if we fall, that is it. There is nothing else left. So we have to all continue to pray and pray together," Trump said. She said the attacks on the former president are rooted in evil and spiritual warfare. "It's not just Republican versus Democrat or left versus right. It really has felt like good versus evil in so many respects," she told Starnes. "Since the day my father-in-law decided to run for president, an interesting thing has happened to all of us. Trump has maintained that he is innocent and called Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's case against him a "witch hunt." Lara Trump said she believes this prosecution is about stopping Trump from running for president again. "It has almost nothing to do with prosecuting Donald Trump. It has everything, of course, to do with preventing him from becoming the 47th president," she said. The presidential candidate's daughter-in-law added that she believes targeting Trump has backfired on the Democrats. "I think it's backfired on them. I don't think that anyone anticipated the groundswell of support we've seen behind one man," she said. "He's always mentioned that they're not after him. They're after the rest of us.
