"Unplanned" is based on Abby Johnson's national bestseller which follows her personal journey from being Planned Parenthood's youngest clinic director to embracing a pro-life/pro-women's position while renouncing the work of Planned Parenthood relating to abortion.
 
The film has generated strong emotions across America and ignited a national conversation on the role of Planned Parenthood and abortion.
 
"Unplanned" has also faced unprecedented censorship and discrimination from avenues such as Google and Twitter along with having their ads rejected by networks like Hallmark, Bravo, The Food Network, Lifetime and many others.
 
Rev. Patrick Mahoney, the Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, who is sponsoring this special viewing, states;

"I want to first thank the City and Police Department of Washington, D.C. for honoring the First Amendment and free expression in granting the permit to publicly show the film 'Unplanned' right in front of a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic.  This comes after 'Unplanned' has been censored and discriminated against by social media giants, television networks and other outlets.

"It is critical for Americans to know that free speech and public expression are honored and protected in our nation's capital with all viewpoints being allowed.

"'Unplanned' is a powerful film sharing the personal story of Abby Johnson and revealing the true mission and operation of Planned Parenthood as well as exposing the reality of abortion.  Showing 'Unplanned' on Good Friday, in front of a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, is a powerful witness to the dignity of every life and the example we all must follow to protect human rights and end violence in our society.

"Our hope is to launch a nationwide campaign to eventually show 'Unplanned' in front of Planned Parenthood abortion clinics across America."
