Police received a call regarding the suicidal man at around 1 a.m. According to WJBK-TV, he was standing on top of the bridge, threatening to jump off. Thinking quickly, the police came up with the idea to get multiple trucks to line up under the bridge, in order to shorten the fall if the man did jump.
