As the storm approached Florida and made its way up the coast, Floridians rushed to prepare. Stores sold out of many essential items. Shoppers at a Lowe's hardware store in Orlando depleted the store's generator supply.

Customer Ramon Santiago bought the last generator that day, but when he realized that another shopper, Pam Brekke, was in desperate need of the generator, he gave it to her.

According to ABC local affiliate WFTV 9, Brekke had traveled nearly 30 miles to find a store with a generator. As she watched the last generator being bought, she couldn't hold back her tears.

"My father's on oxygen, and I'm worried about this storm"...
