Most of the 202 migrants were from Pakistan and Bangladesh, AFP reported.
 
"These are migrants who did not request asylum in Greece," Yorgos Kyritsis, the Greek government's spokesman on migration, said. "The majority were Pakistani. There were two Syrians who did not request asylum for personal reasons."
 
The move is part of the European Union's new plan, signed last month, called the "one in, one out" deal, which aims to stem immigration to Europe.
 
As part of the deal, for every Syrian sent back to Turkey, a vetted Syrian refugee will go from Turkey to Europe to be resettled. That number will eventually be capped at 72,000 people.
 
Close to 50,000 migrants and refugees are currently stranded in Greece after the EU and Balkan border closures. Anyone who arrived after March 20 will be detained for deportation.
 
Some human rights groups have questioned the deal's legality and whether it's ethical.
