Cardiologist Recounts the Healing Power of Prayer"I want everyone to know there's a loving God who longs to hear from them. Pain and suffering often bring people to God, and the power of prayer comes from developing our relationship with God." (Nashville, Tennessee)—Colorado-based cardiologist Dr. Mark Sheehan shares the firsthand accounts of hope and healing in the lives of his patients in a new book, Healing Prayer on Holy Ground, available through Creation House.
It recounts the near-death experience of Kasey, who heard the voices of prayer warriors who were praying both audibly and silently while she was in a coma. It also tells the shocking story of a patient who was denied entrance into Heaven at his death but made a complete turnaround after being miraculously revived. "The purpose of the book is to give people hope and encouragement through times of pain and suffering and remind them they are not alone," says Sheehan. "I want everyone to know there's a loving God who longs to hear from them. Pain and suffering often bring people to God, and the power of prayer comes from developing our relationship with God." Healing Prayer on Holy Ground is co-published through Creation House, a division of Strang Communications. Dr. Mark W. Sheehan, M.D. is a board certified cardiologist and has been practicing cardiology since 1981. He is a member of South Denver Cardiology Associates and an associate professor of medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He attended Baylor College of Medicine, completing his residency and chief residency at the Baylor affiliate program prior to spending two years at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in the United States Air Force. He moved to Denver to complete his cardiology fellowship training at the University of Colorado Health Science Center.
