"If I could find the man who set the land mine, I'd tell him I love him. I'm in a wheelchair. However, I'm in the wheel of God, and that makes all the difference in the world."

(Garland, Texas)—37-years ago, Rev. Tim Lee, recipient of a Purple Heart, stepped on a land mine in Vietnam and lost both of his legs. According to a Dallas Morning News report, not only is Lee not bitter about his loss, but this week—in an attempt to help them heal and forgive—he is leading a handful of Vietnam veterans from around the states back to the country that changed their lives forever.

"The last 30 years of my life have been the happiest years of my life," Mr. Lee told one congregation. "Some say, 'Tim, you're in a wheelchair. Your legs are gone.' I'm in a wheelchair. However, I'm in the wheel of God, and that makes all the difference in the world." (Photo by: G.J. Mccarthy/DMN)

Lee's daughter, Amber, will be accompanying him overseas. She said that although she has never heard her father complain about being in a wheelchair, she believes he will still return from Vietnam "rejuvenated and alive, with more respect for his country [the U.S.A.]."
